Hello all,

Welcome to my blog!  This was something that I started the beginning of this year.  The past 8 years have been absolutely crazy and things are starting to slow down.  I wanted something that I could focus on as well as keep track of the things that my husband, Tony, and I do to our house and to our life. 

Let me tell you a bit about me...

My name is Jen (Jenni - to my family, JHy - to a special group of friends*).  I currently live in upstate New York with my husband, Tony, and our dog, Gizmo.  I graduated from Penn State with my Master's in Mechanical Engineering in August of 2012.  At the beginning of September, I started my amazing job in NY.  On October  20, 2012, we got engaged at Penn State after 5 1/2 years of dating.  In February of 2013, we bought our first home together.  On October 12, 2013, we got married and watched Penn State beat Michigan!  Now that the wedding is over, things have calmed down.

Why Heels 2 Handy Homeowner?
When I was in high school and my first few years of college, I wore heels almost everyday.  Currently, I work in Corporate America and wear heels almost every day.  With being a new homeowner and wife, the lines between home and work have definitely blurred some.  I am learning to become a DIYer with the help of my dad, father-in-law, and the internet.

This blog will have recipes that I love, DIY projects, some tips relating to working/traveling in Corporate America, and anything else that I can think of.
